Job summary

Teknor Apex Company is seeking a Polymer Extrusion Operator to start and stop the production line, monitor parameters, and ensure quality with proper documentation. You will work within a team-oriented environment, operating forklifts and handling materials while maintaining records for process control.

The role requires experience in polymer extrusion, strong communication skills, and the ability to work rotating shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in polymer extrusion or equivalent.
• Forklift license required to operate material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of Lean basics and Six Sigma Yellow Belt training.
• Strong communication skills with shift supervisor and team.
• Ability to perform root-cause analysis for process issues.

Responsibilities

• Start and stop the production line per protocol and set parameters.
• Keep accurate records on production sheets and logs.
• Follow test procedures on finished goods and record results.
• Operate forklift and hand trucks as needed.
• Communicate processing problems to the supervisor and adjust as permitted.
• Document and communicate adjustments per protocol.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment.
• Assist Debagging and Packing operators when needed.
• Assist QC/QA tests including sample preparation.
• Put away/release finished goods in the system and update status.
• Support continuous improvement projects and action implementations.
