Job summary

Mural Industrial is seeking a 2nd shift operator in Albion, MI to expertly blend, weigh ingredients, and operate extrusion equipment in a controlled environment. You’ll document every step, perform quality checks, and escalate issues to supervision as needed.

You'll maintain strict safety and housekeeping standards, handle lab samples, and ensure recipe adherence. This role suits hands-on individuals with 1+ year in plastics/chemical manufacturing and a valid GED or high school diploma.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in blending, mixing, extrusion, or plastics/chemical manufacturing.
• Hands-on ability to set up and operate production machinery; basic troubleshooting skills.
• Comfort with basic computer use for production documentation.
• Availability for 2nd shift and reliable transportation to Albion, MI.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run blending and extrusion equipment in line with operating and safety procedures.
• Weigh materials to recipe specifications; monitor process for safe, efficient output.
• Diagnose routine process/equipment issues and escalate to supervisor as needed.
• Inspect materials for conformance; pull and deliver lab samples when required.
• Complete production logs, system transactions, and all required documentation.
• Perform machine cleaning and uphold housekeeping standards throughout the shift.
• Follow all safety, ISO, and EHS rules; wear required PPE at all times.
