Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA, LLC is seeking a Polyethylene Process Control Engineer to support day-to-day DCS operations at the Battleground Manufacturing Complex in La Porte, TX. The role focuses on safe, efficient polymer plant operations with emphasis on control strategy, alarm management, and continuous improvement.

The engineer will troubleshoot DCS and process issues, lead control-system enhancements, and participate in HAZOPs, MOC, and startup activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• Experience in polymers manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with Honeywell DCS and polyolefin/polymer processes is advantageous.
• Typical candidates have at least three years in olefins/polyolefins or similar industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day process control support for operation units.
• Troubleshoot process, alarms, DCS and network issues.
• Support unit shutdowns, turnarounds, and startups.
• Lead improvements in process control applications and optimization.
• Participate in PSM, HAZOPs, and MOC processes as needed.
• Develop control philosophies and coordinate project-related DCS work.
