Job summary

Shell in the United States is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine and non-routine testing of polyethylene products. You will generate accurate analytical data, maintain equipment, and ensure we meet quality and safety standards.

You will document results, operate lab instruments, and collaborate with production and quality teams to support operations and continuous improvement. A degree in science and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a scientific discipline is required.
  • Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States.
  • Experience in a manufacturing laboratory environment.
  • Knowledge of analytical laboratory techniques and polymer testing methods.
  • Experience using laboratory information systems and maintaining data integrity.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety procedures and technical documents.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine testing of polyethylene products to verify compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
  • Document and report laboratory results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Follow approved analytical methods, laboratory procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor product quality data and identify trends or deviations requiring investigation.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and technical teams to support operational objectives.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining documentation and safety compliance.
