Job summary

CECO Environmental seeks a CAD designer/drafter to develop conceptual layouts for heavy industrial equipment and air pollution control systems. You will use Autodesk Inventor to create layouts, coordinate with project teams, and produce proposal drawings.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, strong CAD skills, and the ability to translate customer requirements into practical space layouts. Based in Addison, TX, the position entails collaborating across Sales, Engineering, and Project

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in CAD, Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field.
3–5 years of designer/drafter experience on industrial equipment and layouts.
Strong CAD drafting with Autodesk Inventor proficiency.
Experience creating conceptual layouts and customer-facing drawings.
Solid visualization and spatial layout abilities.
Ability to translate sketches, P&IDs, and engineering input into layouts.

Responsibilities

Develop conceptual equipment layouts, GA drawings, and proposal-level design packages.
Use Autodesk Inventor to model layouts and coordinate equipment arrangements.
Prepare proposal drawings and customer submittals clearly communicating scope and interfaces.
Develop plant layouts for customer evaluation, budgeting, and internal review.
Coordinate with Sales, Applications Engineering, Project Management, and Engineering teams.
