MSIG USA is seeking an Underwriting Intern to gain hands-on experience in political risk underwriting. You will assist in risk assessments, support underwriting for new and renewal cases, and learn how data and industry trends shape decisions.

The program emphasizes mentorship, real-world projects, and a hybrid schedule in Warren, NJ, with a June–August 2027 timeline and an hourly rate of $25.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Political Risk, International Relations, Business, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for understanding data.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; eager to learn and tackle challenges.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Risk Assessment and Analysis: Aid in evaluating financial statements, credit reports, and industry trends to assess risk.
• Underwriting Assistance: Support underwriting for new and renewal Political Risk insurance, helping terms and conditions.
• Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze reports and industry data to see how political and financial insights influence strategies.
• Collaborate with Experts: Work with claims, legal, and finance teams to understand underwriting challenges and solutions.
