Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking an Underwriting Intern to gain hands-on exposure to Property insurance products and financial line underwriting. You will be guided by seasoned professionals to evaluate risk, craft policies, and support underwriting decisions.

The program runs from June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027. It features a hybrid schedule with a minimum of four in-office days per week and an hourly rate of $25.00, offering mentorship and real-project experience inside a global insurance group.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Risk assessment and analysis: assist in evaluating financial statements and industry trends.
• Underwriting assistance for new and renewal Financial Lines business.
• Data-driven decisions: analyze reports and industry data to inform strategies.
• Collaborate with claims, legal, and finance teams to understand underwriting challenges.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and build underwriting knowledge.
