Responsibilities

• Determines operation sequence from router, blueprints, specs, and work orders.
• Loads parts on fixtures to polish according to plan.
• Prepares machines for production by positioning parts.
• Sets and adjusts controls to meet specifications.
• Monitors operations, inspects parts, and corrects deviations.
• Resolves production issues by adjusting controls and materials.
• Performs preventive maintenance and reports needed repairs.
• Fulfills daily production schedule.
• Documents actions and communicates irregularities.
• Keeps production and quality logs up to date.
• Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as requested.

As a Grinding/Polishing Operator, you'll play a key role in delivering high quality precision components to our customers. In this hands on role, you'll grind and polish parts to exact specifications while helping ensure safety, efficiency, and top-tier product quality.

What You'll Do

• Determines sequence of operations by studying the router, blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
• Loads the appropriate parts on fixtures to polish parts.
• Prepares machine for production by positioning parts.
• Set and adjust controls.
• Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting defects, inspecting parts, and adjusting controls.
• Resolves production problems by adjusting controls and process materials to meet specifications. Notifies supervisor for additional resources when necessary.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on a timely basis, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and alerting supervisor of necessity of repairs.
• Meets daily production schedule.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Contributes to continuous improvement process.
• Other duties as requested.

What You Bring
