Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Houston is seeking an OD/ID grind and honing operator on 2nd shift (3-11:30). You'll work with cylindrical grinding machinery to achieve close tolerance finishes, set up NC grinders, interpret blueprints, and maintain a safe work environment.

You should have a high school diploma or GED, manufacturing experience, experience with grinders, basic math and measurement skills, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Basic math, geometry and mechanical aptitude.
• Basic measurement and print-reading skills.
• Experience with precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and promote health and safety awareness.
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency before and during operation of NC Grinder.
• Grind parts to specified dimensions.
• Interpret blueprint drawings for specifications.
• Clean machine, tooling and parts; perform minor maintenance.
• Set up and operate NC Grinder and use hand angle grinder.
• Plan, prioritize and organize tasks; meet production targets.
• Communicate quality issues and non-conformances promptly.
• Use measuring tools to ensure conformance to specs.
• Participate in continuous learning opportunities.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two Year Technical Degree accreditation preferred.
• Two years of previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

• Ability to lift to 50 pounds or more.
• Prolonged standing and walking.
