Job summary

Avalign Technologies in Warsaw, IN is seeking a Polisher on a 3rd shift schedule to support critical finishing operations. You will operate polishing equipment, change wheels per part specifications, and ensure paperwork accuracy for each order.

Ideal candidates read blueprints, use calipers and micrometers, and maintain production quality aligned with customer prints. This role offers growth opportunities within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth micrometers.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work operation sheets to determine appropriate operation.
• Good math and computer skills including knowledge of Workstation Driver.
• Self-starter in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate polishing equipment.
• Change wheels per part specifications.
• Check complete orders in Polishing area for paperwork accuracy, verify count and move to next location.
• Follow urgent needs jobs through the finishing shop to guarantee delivery.
• Runs production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain production quality to customer prints.
• Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets and instructions.
• Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, function gages to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.
• Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company database.
• Reports key job status to Departmental Supervisor.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
