Job summary

Avalign Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Laser Etch/Engrave Operator for our Warsaw, IN facility on a 3rd shift schedule. You will set up and operate Laser Etch equipment to engrave and etch metal parts, ensuring quality and process compliance.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining laser equipment, performing setups from blueprints, and conducting part checks with precision tools. A fast-paced mindset and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth micrometers).
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine appropriate operation to be performed.
• Able to check parts with the comparator and micro vu.
• Understanding of programming for Laser Etch; previous related experience required.
• Strong math and computer skills.
• Self-starter and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Check complete orders in Laser Etching area for paperwork accuracy, verify count
• Runs production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Performs setup for parts according to blueprints and guidelines including programming and tooling
• Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets and instructions
• Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.
• Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company database
• Reports key job status to Departmental Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager
• Interface with Visual Labor Entry system and monitor work orders
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned.
