Job summary

The Policy & Research Group (PRG) invites applications for a Research Assistant who is passionate about improving opportunity and equity through social science research. The assistant will support research and evaluation projects in Education, Workforce, and Public Health, working as part of a team to execute studies that improve education, health, and employment outcomes.

This is a full-time, exempt position in New Orleans.

Qualifications

0–1 years research experience.
BA/BS required.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Commitment to PRG’s mission: rigorous research and evaluation to improve social, behavioral, health, economic, and employment outcomes.
Ability to work a flexible schedule; some evening and weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities

Assist with project management and scheduling for research projects.
Prepare meeting agendas and take notes; maintain documentation.
Communicate with external stakeholders as needed.
Conduct data collection and assist with formatting surveys or data collection instruments.
Perform data entry and data quality assurance tasks.
Support analyses and reporting of findings.
Coordinate local travel or logistics for project activities.
Contribute to timely project deliverables and communications.
