Job summary

GROWMARK, Inc. in Bloomington, IL seeks a Government & Regulatory Affairs Specialist to monitor regulatory issues, coordinate communications, and conduct research supporting legislative and regulatory efforts across the GROWMARK/FS System.

You will draft formal comments, engage with regulatory agencies and trade associations, plan fly-ins to Washington, DC, and help educate colleagues on policy developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science or Communications or related experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state government and public policy formation.
• Strong business writing and research skills.
• Ability to draft formal comments and correspondence on complex regulatory issues.
• Demonstrates collaboration, communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates response to regulatory issues and drafts formal comments and correspondence.
• Meets with regulatory agencies and builds consensus with industry associations.
• Plans fly-ins to Washington, DC and coordinates legislative meetings for staff and leadership.
• Maintains internal resources and provides education on regulatory changes.
