American Society for Microbiology (ASM) in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior Program Officer, Policy, to advance high-impact public health initiatives and strengthen national partnerships. You will lead complex programs, convene scientific and public health experts, and shape communications on priority issues in collaboration with CDC, ASM members, and partner organizations.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English required.
• Based in the United States.
• Experience in grant and contract management and compliance, with demonstrated success in large or complex programs.
• Experience facilitating working groups and convenings.
• Proficient in monitoring and evaluation approaches to support program development.

Responsabilités

• Establish goals, objectives, and activities with CDC and stakeholders.
• Lead expert working group convenings online and in-person.
• Lead development and execution of a portfolio-based communications strategy.
• Develop and communicate program/project plans, milestones, and deliverables.
• Ensure budget reporting in collaboration with funders and finance teams.
• Identify risks, mitigation plans, and action items to keep programs on track.
• Mentor ASM team members and support contractors in program design and procurement.
