Job summary

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops seeks an Outreach & Policy Advisor for the Secretariat of Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth to research and analyze policy issues and positions in coordination with the Office for Government relations and other USCCB civic engagement offices.

The role reports to the Executive Director and supports the Church's mission on marriage, family and human sexuality, while engaging in advocacy and communications with bishops and external partners.

Qualifications

• Masters or JD preferred with MA Public Policy or related graduate degree/certification.
• Theological formation in Catholic vision desired.
• Demonstrated knowledge of public policy and church teaching.

Responsibilities

• Advocacy, communications, and policy research on marriage and family issues.
• Collaborate with LMFLY Committee and other Conference offices.
• Develop annual plans, programs, and budgets.
• Engage with external faith groups and national organizations.
• Prepare speeches, articles, talks, testimonies, and workshops.
