Job summary

The New York State Department of Public Service is seeking a Policy Intern to assist the Executive Office. The role focuses on advancing regulatory priorities, drafting briefing documents, and conducting research on utility regulation and clean energy.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a graduate program with strong communication, attention to detail, and analytical skills. Hybrid work may be available, with up to 30 hours per week and a $21.22/hour salary.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the Executive Office and Department of Public Service staff to advance regulatory priorities and initiatives.
• Drafting briefing documents and reports on policy and legislative priorities.
• Conducting research and analysis on utility regulation, ratemaking, clean energy, and planning.
• Supporting the development and implementation of policy and outreach initiatives.
