Job summary

Boston Public Health Commission seeks a policy and intergovernmental relations professional to support federal, state, and local health policy efforts. You will conduct research, prepare briefs, and draft testimony for policymakers and partners.

You will collaborate with multiple city departments, coalitions, and program staff to advance policy priorities and mobilize stakeholders for advocacy activities.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; Masters in Public Health or related field preferred.
• Experience in health policy research, analysis, and reporting.
• Familiarity with state and local health policy processes a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete timely research and analysis of legislation, budgets, and health policies.
• Draft communications and presentations to policymakers and partners.
• Collaborate with City departments and coalitions on policy matters.
• Educate and mobilize BPHC programs and clients around policy priorities.
• Coordinate advocacy trainings and testify on legislative matters.
