Job summary

Woodberry Associates in Washington, DC seeks a Director/Senior Director to steer policy and government relations for health policy clients. This is an in‑office role with a collaborative team and opportunities to lead multisector projects.

Required: 5+ years in policy or government relations; Capitol Hill experience preferred; exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines; a detail‑oriented, professional, solution‑minded leader.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in policy or government relations; Capitol Hill experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
• Ability to research legislative, regulatory and policy issues.
• Detail-oriented with polished output.
• Organized and able to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
• Leadership experience with junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Establish and grow relationships with clients, policymakers and partners.
• Maintain expertise and awareness on key issues and current policy developments.
• Research, analyze, and summarize complex health policy issues in written and verbal form.
• Liaise with federal policymakers and their staff.
• Oversee day-to-day support of clients.
• Manage client projects, including planning and delivering deadline-sensitive products with colleagues and third-party vendors.
• Direct and support junior staff.
