Job summary

Washington Hospitality Association is seeking a part-time Government Affairs Coordinator to support the Government Affairs Department. The position requires in-person work in Olympia January–May for the Legislative Session, with occasional early mornings, late evenings, and weekend hours.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of administrative or scheduling experience.
  • Interest in government affairs, public policy, advocacy, member engagement, or hospitality.
  • Ability to work in person in Olympia January–May during the Legislative Session; some early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
  • In-person attendance for trainings and All-Team events is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Government Affairs with calendar management and coordination.
  • Assist in recruiting and engaging members and coordinating regional meetings and meetings with lawmakers.
  • Prepare and manage member lists, invitations, and voting records; aid fundraising campaigns.
  • Support communications efforts by coordinating calls to action and sharing political outcomes with members.
