Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Policy Specialist to convert messy abuse patterns into clear, enforceable platform rules while grounding decisions in data and AI-assisted tooling. You’ll balance policy drafting, escalation management, and content review, collaborating with Legal, Product, Engineering, Support, and Communications on high-profile escalations.

This role requires 2–4 years in content rules or Trust & Safety, strong writing, and comfort with data.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years working on content rules, Trust & Safety, or related areas.
• Experience actually writing policy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write and update platform rules and internal guidance for reviewers and tooling.
• Investigate new abuse patterns (spam, scams, harassment, sensitive content) and define rule responses.
• Pull numbers to size problems and measure policy impact and appeals.
• Use AI tools to speed policy and enforcement work and challenge outputs when needed.
• Spend at least 50% of time on queue review to understand current policies.
• Develop escalations management processes with cross-functional teams (Legal, Product, Engineering, Support, Comms).
• Manage escalations involving illegal content with urgency and reporting discipline.
• Create collateral like escalation playbooks with intake criteria and SLAs.
• Handle hard cases with clear, defendable reasoning.
