Job summary

Generate Capital is seeking a Policy and Engagement Manager to drive state and regional policy strategy, starting with SPP and ERCOT. You will translate regulatory updates into actionable guidance for Origination, Development, and Interconnection teams, while representing Generate in policy forums and trade groups.

You will coordinate consultants and engage utilities to advance projects and community initiatives.

Qualifications

5+ years of energy policy or market strategy experience.
Experience with SPP and ERCOT preferred.
Experience engaging utilities and grid operators.
Experience with wholesale market design and interconnection processes.
Ability to balance policy goals with business priorities.
Experience managing consultants and lobbyists to support objectives.

Responsibilities

Establish policy priorities and engagement strategies with senior leadership.
Monitor policy updates and translate into strategic guidance for internal teams.
Represent Generate in policy forums and regional trade groups.
Ensure policy outcomes in SPP and ERCOT reflect commercial priorities.
Coordinate consultants and external resources to deliver timely outputs.
Collaborate on interconnection strategy development for large load customers.
Interface with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and regulators to advance projects.
Develop community engagement plans aligned with infrastructure goals.
