Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies is seeking a Product Development Specialist (Compliance) to draft policy wordings, endorsements, and rate/rule pages while coordinating with Compliance during filings. You will work closely with Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, and IT to move initiatives from concept to filing to implementation.

The role emphasizes regulatory awareness, cross-functional collaboration, and timely updates to forms to meet evolving requirements and improve product offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college/university preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO Commercial Lines and regulatory concepts.
• Excellent research, detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong influencing and cross-functional collaboration across Underwriting, Actuarial, Operations, Claims, IT and Compliance.
• Insurance designations such as CPCU/ASLI/AU are a plus.
• Experience with regulatory filings and DOI processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft and update coverage forms, endorsements, and rate/rule pages.
• Prepare clear, well-supported explanatory memos for filing with DOIs.
• Research competitor filings to inform product market positioning.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate them into timely updates to forms and rules.
• Partner with Underwriting and Actuarial to clarify project intent and rating approach.
• Collaborate with Claims to refine form language for clarity.
• Support State Filings by organizing filing materials for DOI submissions.
• Respond to DOI objections and coordinate updates with Underwriting and Actuarial.
• Review system requirements with IT to ensure alignment with the approved filing.
