Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Data Scientist focused on policy to translate internal usage and survey data into clear, evidence-based insights for the Policy team. You will sit at the intersection of data science and public affairs, collaborating with product, communications, and government affairs to inform policy positions and measure impact.

You will own dashboards, design measurement frameworks for policy communications, and leverage AI tools to track policy developments and external narratives.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analysis tools; experience with public data sources.
• Experience producing analyses for external audiences (policy, communications, IR, or published research).
• Applied causal inference methods to measure policy or program impact from observational data.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product and business teams to produce analyses and data collateral for policy papers.
• Determine metrics that faithfully represent the company to lawmakers, regulators, and the public.
• Own dashboards and pipelines to keep externally-shared numbers consistent for fast policy work.
• Use AI tools to aggregate news and public data to track regulatory trends.
