Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Service Policy Intern to support tariff rules, standards, and regulatory requirements. You will gain exposure across Opco's and cross-functional teams, focusing on policy administration, data analysis, and process improvements.

This paid internship offers hands-on learning and potential extension based on performance. The role requires study in Business Administration, Project Management, Regulatory Affairs, or related fields and a willingness to work full-time during

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Regulatory Affairs, or related field.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) and part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week).
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

• Assist with research and documentation related to tariff rules, administrative instructions, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the review and organization of Service Policy resources, SharePoint content, forms, and process documentation.
• Participate in process improvement efforts, including workflow documentation, automation opportunities, and operational efficiency projects.
• Support Service Policy Analysts with customer project reviews and exception tracking.
• Help develop training materials, presentations, and communications for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Operations, Regulatory, and Customer teams to gather information and support business objectives.
• Perform research and data analysis related to rates, standards, policies, and emerging business needs.
