Job summary

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Norfolk County Sheriff's Office, is seeking a Policy Compliance Assistant to support audits, policy reviews and regulatory compliance at the Norfolk Correctional facility in Dedham, MA. This full-time role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and coordination with department heads, with the aim of maintaining ACA/CMR standards.

Responsibilities include preparing materials for audits, developing follow-up plans, updating policies in PowerDMS, and providing

Must be computer proficient.
Willingness and ability to work on a varied number of simultaneous projects.
Must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation for Department of Correction, Department of Public Health and American Correctional Association audits, including documentation collection and file preparation.
Develop follow-up action plans for audits/inspections based on findings.
Coordinate initial review of each NCSO policy with ACA, CMR and other codes; reformatting and editing in PowerDMS.
Coordinate with department heads to complete annual policy reviews for accuracy of titles and content.
Ensure revised policies are posted in PowerDMS and provide operational support to the Compliance Unit.
