Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in strategic communication, reputation management or public affairs.
  • Experience driving policy-focused media campaigns and supporting policy, regulatory, or reputational issues, ideally in technology.
  • Established relationships with technology, national security, and policy press, and fluency in the current media and social landscape.
  • Experience working alongside government affairs, legal, or technical teams on sensitive or fast-moving issues.
  • Sharp written and verbal communicator who can distill a complex AI policy issue into a two-minute pitch or a crisp one-pager.
  • Exceptional judgement and comfortability working in a fast-moving, startup environment where you're building the playbook, not inheriting one.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams across research, legal, international relations and policy to manage press coverage, briefings, events, and more.
  • Draft and edit blog posts, FAQs, talking points, and video scripts that make Reflection's mission and technical work accessible to non-technical audiences.
  • Monitor and help coordinate communications responses to fast-moving regulatory and geopolitical developments that touch Reflection and AI policy.
  • Represent Reflection AI at D.C. and global policy events
