Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in strategic communication, reputation management or public affairs.
• Experience driving policy-focused media campaigns in technology.
• Established relationships with technology, national security, and policy press.
• Experience collaborating with government affairs, legal or technical teams on fast-moving issues.
• Ability to distill AI policy into a concise pitch or one-pager.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment and building playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Shape the industry news and policy debates through proactive campaigns and rapid-response communications.
• Build relationships with policy press, Hill staff, and third-party stakeholders.
• Partner with research, legal, international relations and policy teams to manage press coverage.
• Draft and edit blog posts, FAQs, talking points, and video scripts for non-technical audiences.
• Monitor regulatory and geopolitical developments affecting Reflection and AI policy.
• Represent Reflection AI at DC and global policy events.
• Manage relationships with external consultants and public affairs firms.
