Job summary

Accident Fund Insurance Company of America is seeking a Payment Application Specialist to support billing for agents and policyholders. You will handle inquiries, process disbursements, and ensure accurate posting of payments across core systems.

The role requires 2 years of relevant AF Group experience or equivalent office billing/insurance background, strong communication, and attention to detail. This is a full-time, on-site position in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Two years AF Group as a Payment Application Specialist
• High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• Four years of office experience with billing/insurance background, OR Bachelor's degree with one year billing/insurance experience

Responsibilities

• Answers inquiries from agents and policyholders regarding invoices and payments.
• Requests write offs to resolve small balances and NSF discrepancies.
• Initiates, reviews, and approves disbursements.
• Reconciles and troubleshoots accounts for accurate posting.
• Reviews policy cancellation and reinstatement transactions.
