Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Policy Attorney (Attorney III) to support the Policy Department in the General Law and Policy Section. The attorney will analyze legal issues, draft rules and policies, and provide counsel on state and federal requirements affecting HHSC programs.

The position reports to the associate director for Medicaid and CHIP services and offers telework eligibility, competitive salary, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an attorney by the State of Texas.
• At least three years' experience in the practice of law.
• Strong ability to draft and interpret policy, rules, and regulations.

Responsabilités

• Advise HHSC and OCC leadership on legal matters and agency policy.
• Draft, interpret, and apply laws, regulations, and agency policies.
• Prepare opinions, briefs, and legislative or policy documents.
