Job summary

We Build Progress is seeking a Policy Associate or Senior Policy Associate to advance equitable climate and energy policy from research to action. The role blends policy development, writing, and project management, coordinating partners and internal contributors, and tracking deliverables across a cross‑cutting portfolio.

Based in Washington, DC, you will coordinate policy initiatives, engage coalition partners, support briefings and public education, and help senior leadership manage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education, training, or experience.
• Experience conducting policy research and writing for policymakers or funders.
• Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support policy development, research, and writing across priorities.
• Coordinate program workplans, deliverables, and timelines.
• Engage coalition partners and external stakeholders to advance policy goals.
• Prepare materials for briefings, reports, and funder communications.
• Lead assigned initiatives with independence and strategic recommendations.
