Job summary

The Maryland Department of Health seeks an Assistant Director for the Policy and Analytics Unit to serve as the primary pharmacy policy expert. You will oversee OPS policy development, guide drug coverage decisions, and lead strategic projects using utilization trends, budgeting and national/regional policy insights.

Ideal candidates bring a PharmD, MD license, and at least six years of management experience with a track record in clinical pharmacy, data analytics, and policy development for

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college or university.
• Maryland Pharmacist license from the MD Board of Pharmacy required.
• Experience leading policy and analytics teams in a health/pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Policy and Analytics (P&A) Unit and act as primary pharmacy policy expert.
• Oversee pharmacy-related policies, drug coverage policies, and program budgeting.
• Plan, design, and execute strategic projects using drug utilization trends and cost data.
