Job summary

State of Maryland is seeking an Assistant Director for the Policy and Analytics Unit within the Office of Pharmacy Services in Baltimore, MD. The role focuses on pharmacy policy oversight, strategic project leadership, and collaboration with PPS and CS divisions.

The ideal candidate holds a Pharm D and Maryland pharmacist license, with extensive management experience and strong data analytics skills to shape drug coverage policies across programs. Hybrid telework is available.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of professional management experience, including a minimum of three (3) years supervising other professional staff.
• Three (3) years of professional experience in clinical pharmacy, and one of: coordinating unit operations, data analytics, policy development, or rule/regulation application.
• Two (2) years of experience monitoring drug technologies and developing drug coverage policies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Assistant Director, Policy and Analytics (P&A) Unit lead and policy expert for OPS.
• Oversee pharmacy-related policies and strategic projects using drug utilization trends, costs, and budgets.
• Develop drug coverage policies aligned with national and regional policies and current pharmacy services.
