Job summary

Portastrategies is seeking a Policy Analyst to support research and development of federal regulatory initiatives related to financial crimes, cryptocurrency, and national security. The role requires immediate availability and is based in Washington, DC on-site.

The ideal candidate has 3–7+ years in public policy or related fields, with strong analytical and writing abilities, plus a background in economics, law, or similar disciplines. A Secret clearance is required for this contract.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• 3–7+ years of relevant experience.
• Background in public policy, economics, law, or related field.
• Experience with federal agencies or regulatory environments preferred.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on statutes, prior rulemakings, and policy frameworks
• Analyze regulatory impacts and stakeholder feedback
• Support development of policy memoranda and briefing materials
• Assist in processing and summarizing public comments
• Support regulatory impact assessments and reporting
