Job summary

VTG Defense seeks a Policy Analyst I with a TS/SCI clearance to support our government customer in Washington, DC. The role is 100% onsite and involves coordinating with State Department bureaus and the interagency to advance counterterrorism policy.

You will analyze policy, brief senior officials, facilitate diplomatic engagements, and help prepare leadership for meetings and international visits. Some overseas travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience preferred.
• State Department policy experience preferred but related federal policy allowed.
• Ability to brief and work with high-ranking officials and learn State Department processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a policy analyst in the State Department's Bureau of Counterterrorism.
• Liaise with regional and interagency bureaus to advance policy.
• Advise the Office Director and Deputy Director on special projects.
• Support bilateral and multilateral diplomatic engagements involving the Secretary of State.
• Participate in interagency meetings and prepare leadership for meetings and speeches.
• Conduct outreach to manage relationships with international organizations and NGOs.
• Research, prepare, and review policy papers and briefing checklists.
• Support organization and conduct of conferences and meetings, including high-level visits.
• On-site presence required with situational telework if appropriate.
