Job description

This position is located in the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary (ODAS), Division of Policy Development in Washington, D.C. ODEP's mission is to develop and influence policies and practices that increase the number and quality of employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

This position is inside the bargaining unit.

For GS-13:

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-12, in the Federal service.

Specialized experience

Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.

Qualifying specialized experience for the GS-13 level includes meeting one of the following statements:

• Experience evaluating, implementing, or supporting assistive technology solutions, including AI-enabled (now known as SI-Super Intelligence) technology-based supports, that help address employment-related needs of people with disabilities obtaining or advancing in employment through accessibility, reasonable accommodations, job readiness, placement, and/or retention; OR
• Experience analyzing, developing, and communicating policy, including legislative or regulatory recommendations for employment for people with disabilities.
