Church Mutual Insurance Company, S.I. seeks an IT Development Manager to lead PAS platform delivery, oversee a diverse team, and ensure secure, scalable solutions across policy lifecycle processes. You will align tech strategy with business goals and drive modernization using Guidewire and cloud technologies.

The role emphasizes leadership, architecture, and governance in a Property & Casualty environment, with a focus on performance and continuous improvement across multiple engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive application development experience.
• 3+ years of direct people leadership or technical leadership experience managing software development teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise applications in an Agile environment.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, architecture, and integration patterns.
• Experience leading distributed teams and managing multiple priorities.
• Experience within the Property & Casualty insurance industry preferred.
• Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation, configuration, development, or support experience highly preferred.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform and Guidewire Digital products preferred.
• Knowledge of underwriting, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, billing, claims, and agency operations preferred.
• Experience with API development, microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud technologies preferred.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and DevOps toolsets preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure as code preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers, technical leads, business analysts, and QA professionals.
• Oversee design, development, support, and continuous improvement of PAS technology platform.
• Govern and manage SDLC, Agile, DevOps, security, and governance practices.
• Drive solution design reviews and adherence to architecture standards.
• Manage releases and deployment across environments.
• Ensure solutions meet business requirements, quality, and regulatory needs.
• Own engineering performance metrics and continuous improvement.
• Manage budgets and technology investments in alignment with IT leadership.
• Drive AI-assisted development and workflow automation opportunities.
• Ensure secure-by-design engineering practices.
