Under the direction of a commanding officer, the Sergeant is primarily responsible as a first-line supervisor, in addition to performing general law enforcement and specialized duties. Work assignments require independent judgment and leadership. This is a full-time supervisory role, including making work assignments, monitoring activities, providing on-the-job training, and assisting in administrative duties. The Sergeant will plan, assign, coordinate, and supervise staff on shifts, task forces, or units; develop and enforce policies; provide training and evaluation; and may assume command in the absence of a superior. The role includes acting as team leader on investigation teams or special units, and providing leadership on specialized teams such as sexual assault or emergency medical response.
Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
$10,453 - $10,941 per month

Varies; irregular shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work any shift in a 24/7 schedule.
