Job summary

The Police Reports Representative I (PRR I) at the City of Dallas handles non-emergency calls and writes qualifying police reports over the phone to reduce workload and improve response times. You will interact with law enforcement and the public, using AI tools to improve report accuracy and efficiency.

As an entry-level position, you will review and assign offense codes, assist Dallas Fire and other agencies, and perform data entry for crime reporting statistics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of customer service experience is required.
• Must be able to obtain NCIC/TCIC/CJIS certification during probation.
• Must obtain Basic Telecommunicator License within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process police reports and related documentation.
• Interview complainants to gather information for offense reports.
• Enter information into law enforcement systems accurately.
• Route offense information to appropriate departments for prompt response.
