C Cocoa Police Department is seeking a trainee to support law enforcement and administrative tasks while enrolled in an approved Florida Police Recruit Academy. The role is non-sworn and requires successful completion of academy training to advance to a Police Officer position.

Incumbents work under supervision alongside a certified officer, with duties ranging from clerical work to field training. Flexibility in hours and on-site work are expected, and attendance must be reliable.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Florida Police Recruit Academy.
• Must be at least 19 years old and a US citizen, pass a background check.
• Must complete the Police Officer Academy and pass the State Officer Certification within six months of starting academy.
• Valid Florida driver license within 45 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Trainee performs duties under supervision and develops towards Police Officer duties.
• Performs clerical and office duties when not in academy sessions.
• Majority of duties are on-site; maintains punctual attendance.
