Job summary

The City of Aventura is seeking a Non-Certified Police Trainee to join the police department and establish an eligibility list for future openings. Successful applicants will complete the Police Academy and Florida police exam, with promotion to Certified Police Officer upon completion.

Role involves patrol, investigations, traffic enforcement, and various unit assignments; training includes exams, physical tests, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must pass physical agility and swim tests where required by residency area
• Must have valid Florida driver’s license with a clean record
• Able to read and write English proficiently

• Write reports and conduct preliminary investigations
