Job summary

The City of Chino Police Department is seeking motivated individuals to join as Police Recruits, with an emphasis on service, integrity, and public safety. Starting salary range is $6,261.75 to $7,591.58 per month, with benefits including health insurance, CalPERS retirement, 457 plan, and retirement health savings.

Recruits will undergo POST-certified academy training and examinations, with career advancement to Police Officer upon academy completion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; Police Science courses are preferred.
• Valid California Driver's License with satisfactory driving record.
• No prior law enforcement experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of a Police Officer under supervision.
• Attend a California POST-certified Police Basic Training Academy and participate in orientation.
• If not completing academy, may be separated from employment and reapply later.
