Job summary

The City of Gainesville is seeking a Police Records Shift Supervisor to lead the Records unit during a designated shift. You will supervise staff, interpret classifications, enter data, and ensure compliance with federal and state information release laws.

The role requires high school diploma and four years in records management, plus mandatory certifications in NCIC/FCIC, Notary, and Terminal Agency Coordinator within six months.

Qualifications

• Four years progressively responsible experience in records management.
• Strong supervisory abilities and familiarity with city policies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and related software.
• Ability to maintain security and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct records maintenance and office work during assigned shift.
• Interpret classifications of crimes, code selections, and data entry.
• Review court orders and crime reports for compliance with laws.
• Organize in-service training and prepare detailed records and reports.
• Serve as nexTEST Administrator under CJIS guidelines.
