Job summary

Town of Belleair is seeking a professional Police Officer to perform patrol and crime prevention duties within the town limits. You will enforce laws, issue citations, make arrests when warranted, and interact with residents and visitors in a courteous manner.

Essential functions include reporting, evidence handling, court appearances, and proactive community policing across shifts, weekends, and holidays. A Florida LE certificate and fitness standards are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of Florida Basic Law Enforcement Training and State certification.
• Equivalency of Training for out-of-state or previously certified Florida officers.
• Completion of PASS screening.
• Three years patrol experience required; five years preferred.
• High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Enforce laws and ordinances and complete required reports.
• Patrol assigned areas by vehicle, foot or other conveyance.
• Investigate incidents, issue citations, make arrests as warranted.
• Coordinate with other agencies and departments as needed.
• Engage in community policing and public interaction.
