Responsibilities

  • Patrols community on assigned shift using a patrol vehicle or on foot to observe for violations, disturbances, and safety concerns.
  • Interviews victims and witnesses to obtain information regarding crime, accidents, or violations.
  • Responds to radio dispatches, serves warrants and prepares case reports for prosecution.
  • Gathers evidence, conducts investigations, and prepares detailed reports per departmental procedures.
  • Enforces traffic laws, issues citations, and may provide first responder medical assistance.
