Job summary

Rocklin Police Department is looking for a sworn Police Officer to protect life and property, enforce laws, and provide high-quality public safety services. You will patrol areas, respond to emergencies, conduct investigations, interview persons, and testify in court as needed.

This role requires a California POST-certified officer or an equivalent waiver, a valid CA driver license, and completion of the POST academy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 30 college units from an accredited college.
• Currently employed as a full-time sworn peace officer in a POST agency.
• Or hold Basic Course Waiver from POST.
• California POST certified officer with required licensure.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned area to prevent crime and enforce laws.
• Issue citations and make arrests as necessary; respond to calls.
• Interview victims, witnesses, and suspects; preserve evidence.
• Testify in court and conduct investigations; file reports.
• Direct traffic and manage crowd control during events.
