Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking an experienced Police Officer to join our dynamic hospital staff. In this role, you will assist our Safety and Security department in providing the safest and most secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to support our Security team in maintaining safety measures throughout the hospital. You must have the ability to document and investigate all incidents reported to security by members of the hospital community, then draw conclusions from the investigation.
You will ensure control of disruptive or intoxicated visitors who may create an undue disturbance.
You will maintain a clear access route to the Emergency Department drive for emergency vehicles at all times.
One of your primary functions will be to immediately respond to situations where security intervention is necessary and use proper aggression management techniques during the process.
You must be able to utilize security equipment including two-way radios, pagers, and CCTV system.
Requirements :
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous work experience that demonstrates knowledge of basic security principles and the ability to work with the public under stressful situations.
Security Officer training certification from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services or International Association for Hospital Safety & Security preferred.
