The Pasadena Police Department is seeking dedicated individuals for the Police Officer (Pre-Service) position. Candidates must have completed the California POST basic police academy within the last three years. To qualify for Police Officer (Pre-Service), you must have successfully completed a California POST basic police academy within the last 36 months. Please upload your certificate of completion as an attachment when you apply. Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment and legally authorized to work in the United States.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS OVERVIEW
The selection process may include a training and experience evaluation, department-level interview, background investigation, and Chief of Police interview.
Vacancies may be filled from this process. Selected candidates are subject to an 18-month probation, possess a Class C California Driver’s License, and meet vision and character requirements. Shift and overtime work will be required.
