The Vallejo Police Department is seeking a Police Officer (Lateral) to perform a variety of law enforcement duties, protect life and property, and enforce laws and ordinances. Ideal candidates understand modern policing and can communicate effectively with a diverse community; POST-certified academy within the last 12 months is highly desirable.

Responsibilities include patrolling, investigation, crime prevention, and special assignments while upholding the department's mission and values.

Formación

• POST Basic Certificate or waiver.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. and California residency requirements.
• Ability to interact with a diverse community and follow department policies.

Responsabilidades

• Enforces local, state and federal laws and ordinances.
• Patrols assigned areas by car, motorcycle, or on foot.
• Responds to calls involving protection of life and property.
• conducts preliminary and follow-up investigations and writes reports.
• Collaborates with the community and other agencies to prevent crime.
