Elk Grove, near Sacramento, is a vibrant, ethnically diverse city with low crime, excellent schools, parks, trails, and community events.
Enforce laws, respond to emergencies, conduct investigations, make arrests, testify in court, and engage with the community. Additional duties include traffic control, crime prevention, and supporting educational programs.
Must possess a California P.O.S.T. Basic Peace Officer certificate, a valid driver’s license, and meet age and experience requirements. Education can be substituted with military service or college credits.
Work outdoors, perform physical tasks, operate police equipment, and respond to emergencies. Must meet vision and hearing standards.
