Qualifications

  • TCOLE Peace Officer License required upon hire.
  • 2 years of security or law enforcement experience preferred.

Police Officer

Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week – Multiple shifts available

Public Safety Department highlights:

Here’s What You Need

  1. H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
  2. Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or closely related field preferred
  3. TCOLE Peace Officer License upon hire REQUIRED
  4. 2 Years Security or law enforcement preferred
  5. DL - Driver’s License Class C and insurable upon hire required
  6. CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training upon hire required
  7. ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 6 Months Required Or
  8. CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 30 Days required

What You Will Do

Performs officer duties to include, but not limited to:

  1. Patrols buildings and grounds for unlocked secured areas for after hour entry.
  2. Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
  3. Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.
  4. Pursues and detains persons involved in criminal activity.
  5. Fills out incident/offense report forms and composes narratives.
  6. Interacts with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
  7. Reports and escalates situations to the Threat Management team as appropriate.
